Unpopular opinion: I think Christopher McCandless was an ass.

He was. And his demise proved it.

I relate him to Grizzly Man in my mind.  If that’s the kind of life you want, great.  Go for it.  (You’re probably going to die, but that’s your choice.) The difference was McCandless judged other people for not being the same way.  Douchebag.
